Fujitsu’s Takane, a large-scale language model (LLM) with Japanese language capabilities designed for enterprise use, is now available on the Nutanix Enterprise AI (NAI) solution and the hybrid multi-cloud solution Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCP). It is the first Japanese-language-enhanced LLM validated for use on NAI, a milestone achieved on April 16, 2025.

"This is the first time that a Japanese-specialised LLM will be compatible with Nutanix Enterprise AI, enabling us to jointly support the use of advanced generative AI tailored for Japanese business practices. Furthermore, in July, we plan to offer Nutanix Enterprise AI, equipped with Takane, as a managed service," Kazushi Koga, corporate executive officer, SEVP, head of Platform at Fujitsu, said.
Takane on NAI
Takane on NAI will be offered through Fsas Technologies Inc. integrated virtualisation platform PRIMEFLEX for Nutanix. It aims to support infrastructure development in business domains restricted due to data sensitivity, legal regulations, and industry standards.
With Takane’s compatibility with NAI and NCP, customers can look forward to leveraging LLMs tailored to Japanese language and business practices in their operations. They can also deploy and manage dedicated LLMs in-house more easily. NAI with Takane will be offered as a Fujitsu-managed service starting in July 2025.
Moreover, Fujitsu Cloud Managed Service, a hybrid cloud operation optimisation offering, is committed to supporting advanced operations of cloud environments, including Takane. Fujitsu will continue to develop services under its business model, Fujitsu Uvance for customers in high-security fields such as finance, government and R&D. These services will be available in private environments, including the cloud.

Takeshi Kaneko, corporate vice president, VP Japan at Nutanix, said, “We are proud to deepen our collaboration with Fujitsu by validating the Takane LLM on Nutanix Enterprise AI. This marks an important step in delivering advanced, secure, and customisable generative AI solutions optimised for Japanese enterprises.
