FlashCard has introduced a new payment model designed specifically for AI-driven workflows, aimed at reducing the risks of granting autonomous agents access to traditional corporate payment methods.
Securing AI-driven payments
Positioned as a task-based virtual card, each FlashCard is designed to be:
- Issued for a specific task (one card, one purpose)
- Bound by predefined policy and lifecycle controls
- Invalidated after task completion or expiry
- Reconciled back to wallet balances based on settlement rules
This avoids unnecessary exposure in automated environments by removing the need for persistent credentials.
To ensure that AI agents operate strictly within approved parameters, the system also introduces programmable controls at the point of issuance. Enterprises can restrict spending by merchant category, set hard transaction limits, lock cards to specific vendors, and define geographic or time-based usage rules.
Seamless AI integration
Beyond security, FlashCard is built to integrate directly into AI ecosystems.
It supports Model Context Protocol (MCP) for compatibility with major AI agents such as GPT, Claude, and Gemini without requiring custom integrations.
The platform also offers plugin support and a command-line interface for developers to embed payment capabilities into automated workflows and deployment pipelines.
