Juniper expands Marvis AI Assistant for Data Centre to include powerful genAI capabilities, aiming to revolutionise the network operator's experience of interacting with Juniper's fabric management and assurance.
Marvis AI Assistant for Data Centre
The new expansion, designed to save time and increase productivity, enables Marvis' natural-language query interface, driven by an AI large language model (LLM), to answer a vastly expanded range of questions with deeper context about the data centre system and a dynamically updated knowledge base. This enables the AI assistant to reply almost instantly, eliminating the potential for hours of effort spent searching for the right data and then synthesising and formatting it.
Looking forward, the AI Assistant aims to eliminate multiple point-and-click steps in traditional graphical user interfaces (GUIs). This allows new services to be configured in seconds, expanding the range of capabilities it supports.
Availability
The new capabilities in Marvis AI Assistant for Data Centre are now available in the cloud-based Data Centre Assurance environment, integrated with the default cloud-based large language model (LLM) used by Marvis.
An on-premises AI assistant, with similar capabilities and "bring your own" LLM compatibility, will also be available for customers who require or prefer to use only on-premises tools and choose their own LLM for reasons such as security or regulatory compliance.
Both cloud-based and on-premises versions will be available in late Q3 or early Q4 of 2025.
