Krungsri (also known as Bank of Ayudhya Public Company Limited) is strategically collaborating with Informatica to bolster its digital transformation initiatives, a crucial step towards its vision of becoming an AI-driven digital bank.

"Krungsri's transformation journey demonstrates how strategic data governance, enabled through our partnership, can help large financial institutions to navigate complex data landscapes, accelerate innovation and realise meaningful operational value. With Informatica as a trusted partner, Krungsri is leading the way in making banking in Thailand truly data-driven and AI-enabled," said Steven Seah, vice president for Informatica ASEAN, India and Korea.
Robust data foundation
To lay a strong data foundation since it moved to a hybrid cloud environment with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Krungsri is implementing Informatica's Cloud Data Governance and Catalogue (CDGC) and Cloud Data Quality (CDQ), underpinned by Informatica's AI-powered Intelligent Data Management Cloud platform.
The bank targets to address critical data discovery, metadata management and data quality improvement challenges through CDGC and CDQ. This will result in customers benefiting from stronger data integrity and greater trustworthiness throughout the bank's operations, ultimately leading to a more secure and reliable banking experience.
"Recognising the pivotal role of data in the banking sector, Krungsri strategically adopts these advanced data governance solutions to enhance data quality, accessibility and integrity," said Tul Roteseree, head of Enterprise Data and Analytics Group at Krungsri. "With a scalable and robust governance framework underpinning our cloud-enabled, secure technology infrastructure, we are not only helping to ensure regulatory compliance and boosting operational efficiency but also driving customer-centric innovation and superior customer service to reinforce our leadership in the financial industry."
