Nutanix and NVIDIA are introducing an integrated AI Factory architecture for government and regulated enterprises requiring sovereign data governance and end-to-end compliance assurance.

Justin Boitano, vice president, enterprise AI products, NVIDIA, said: "Enterprises and government agencies are seeking secure, scalable AI architectures to streamline operations and solve challenges that demand both flexibility and compliance."
AI Factory architecture
The architecture, unique in its reliance on NVIDIA AI Factory for Government, is built on NVIDIA Blackwell and supported by NVIDIA-Certified Systems & Networking, NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, and Government-ready AI model containers, including open models like NVIDIA Nemotron.
The stack is validated to run on the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) and interoperate with Nutanix Enterprise AI (NAI) for shared inference and workload orchestration. NAI, a key component, enables agencies to deploy and scale inference services across secure environments while retaining the freedom to choose models and hardware. NKP provides production-grade Kubernetes without requiring manual management of underlying container components.
It supports multi-tenant secure deployments on virtual machines or bare-metal clusters for maximum performance and tighter control.
The joint solution is designed to provide consistent performance, simplified operations, and leverage hardened configurations, FIPS encryption, and continuous vulnerability monitoring. It offers the unique advantage of enabling governments to run AI locally, under sovereign control, without depending on public cloud services, reducing operational complexity, speeding up deployment, and avoiding model, infrastructure, and deployment mode lock-in.

"With built-in FIPS-compliant encryption across every layer, we're helping organisations protect sensitive data while accelerating AI adoption. By leveraging NKP and NAI, customers gain robust governance features—like fine-grained access controls, auditing, API token management, and full infrastructure visibility—enabling a fast time to first token, cost control, and the robust security for mission-critical AI workloads," Thomas Cornely, SVP of Product Management, Nutanix, said.
