RingCentral has announced the general availability of AI Receptionist (AIR), an agentic AI phone agent.

Already deployed by over 2,000 organisations, AI Receptionist claims to be a context-aware, trainable digital voice bot that can handle conversations, route calls intelligently, follow up via SMS, and work seamlessly across PBX platforms like Microsoft Teams Phone, Avaya, and Mitel.
Some of its capabilities include instant activation, custom greetings and voice personas, automating routine calls, name-based and context-driven call transfers, and SMS messaging.
New RingCentral AI Receptionist features include call analytics and insights, multi-location support, Spanish language support(beta), and HIPAA Compliance for security and privacy controls.
