Rubrik, Inc. unveils Agent Rewind, which will enable organisations to undo mistakes made by agentic AI. Launched after Rubrik acquired Predibase, the new solution, powered by Predibase AI infrastructure, provides visibility into agents’ actions and enables rewinding those changes to applications and data.
“As companies consider investing in AI, they often don’t take into account the mistakes that AI agents can and will make,” said Johnny Yu, research manager at IDC. “Agentic AI introduces the concept of ‘non-human error,’ and as with its human counterpart, organisations should explore solutions that allow them to correct potentially catastrophic mistakes made by agentic AI.”
Agent Rewind
Agent Rewind distinguishes itself by making previously opaque AI actions visible, auditable, and reversible. It also creates an audit trail and immutable snapshots that facilitate safe rollback.
The solution offers context-enriched visibility by surfacing agent behaviour, tool use, and impact, while contextualising each action and mapping it back to its root cause to reverse mistakes efficiently.
It ensures safe rollback by deploying Rubrik Security Cloud to rewind changes such as files, databases, configurations, or repositories.
It can also seamlessly integrate with a wide range of platforms, APIs, and agent builders, including Agentforce, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and Amazon Bedrock Agents. It will be compatible with any custom AI agent.
