Alcoholic beverage company SAPPORO Holdings has deployed Qlik as a key component of its newly revamped and sustainable data integration platform.

“The quality of data—its reliability, freshness, and diversity—is crucial for making informed business decisions,” said Maurisio Garavello, senior vice president of Asia Pacific and Japan at Qlik. “We’re proud to support SAPPORO in adopting Qlik to integrate real-time data from their mission-critical systems. We’re excited to help them scale the platform across the organisation and fully leverage the value of their data.”
Data integration platforms
SAPPORO is developing a data integration platform to analyse the business environment and optimise decision-making. It has deployed Qlik to address substantial time and cost investments, minimise disruption to mission-critical operations, and meet data quality standards required for real-time operations and analysis.
Qlik‘s Change Data Capture enables continuous synchronisation and data updates without overburdening mission-critical systems, even during peak operations.
Shuichi Umehara, director of the DX Planning Department at SAPPORO Holdings, expressed the company's commitment to sustainability through this initiative. He said, “This has enabled us to solve issues relating to the requirements for utilising data in business departments at an early stage and has created a system infrastructure that will enable us to contribute sustainably to profits through such activities.”
SAPPORO will roll out the integrated data platform across its sales, logistics, and financial departments in June 2025 and extend data democratisation throughout the company.
