PT Siloam International Hospitals Tbk (Siloam) have deployed cloud services, including those from Amazon Web Services (AWS), to accelerate digital transformation and AI-driven innovation in healthcare.
With a network of 41 hospitals, Siloam aims to revolutionise patient care by modernising its IT systems, building intelligent applications, and improving efficiencies across its network of 41 hospitals.

“Digital transformation is not just about systems, it’s about impact,” said Caroline Riady, CEO of Siloam Hospitals Group. “With AWS, we are reimagining how healthcare works in Indonesia. We’re giving time back to our doctors, clarity to our decisions, and better outcomes for our patients. This is what modern healthcare should look like.”
Cloud and AI-driven innovation
In a bid to standardise operations and enable real-time data access, Siloam has migrated its mission-critical workloads to the AWS cloud. Migrating hospital information systems, electronic medical records, billing platforms, and the MySiloam digital app also aim to improve system resilience and create a foundation for AI innovation at scale.
The infrastructure enabled Siloam to deploy AI-powered solutions, including the auto-summarisation of medical records and the management of inventories using AI to automate data capture.
Modernised healthcare infrastructure
Key AWS services are instrumental in supporting Siloam’s modernisation efforts. These include AWS Lambda, which facilitates serverless backend automation, AWS Backup for centralised, compliant data protection, and AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery (DRS) for ensuring rapid, cost-efficient business continuity across its hospital network.
Decommissioning legacy infrastructure and consolidating onto AWS Cloud also allowed Siloam to pursue long-term sustainability goals. The modernisation helps lower energy consumption, reduce carbon emissions, and optimise IT investments.

“At AWS, our priority is helping organisations like Siloam Hospitals harness the power of the cloud and generative AI to modernise operations, drive innovation, and ultimately deliver better outcomes for the communities they serve,” said Anthony Amni, country manager, AWS Indonesia.
