According to a study by SS&C Blue Prism, 87% of organisations in Singapore believe the most significant benefit of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is to disrupt processes and create entirely new ways of working.
Moreover, the study on 1,650 global CEOs, CTOs, and senior IT leaders (150 in Singapore) also found that 33% of Singaporean organisations expect to be using agentic AI to automate work within the next 12 months.
Sunny Saha, SVP and general manager of SS&C Blue Prism Asia Pacific said: Agentic AI requires a vast amount of highly organised, standardised data so that it can perform tasks with less human interaction…The combination of automation, AI, and orchestration is proving to be the essential bridge between raw organisational information and AI-ready data.”
Focus on data

The research underscores the urgent need for organisations to ramp up their focus on data to harness the potential of agentic AI fully. ‘
“A robust data environment is essential to roll out AI solutions without compromising control over their data and operations,” Saha said.
Saha recognises the potential for AI to transform work and disrupt processes, but urges enterprises in Asia to remain vigilant regarding security and compliance.
