A global survey of SnapLogic reveals that 50% of IT decision-makers (ITDMs) report that their organisations already use AI agents. Moreover, 32% plan to implement AI agents in the coming years.

Trust and confidence
The report “AI Agents: The Final Frontier of the Enterprise” also revealed that most respondents (92%) are optimistic about AI agents' potential to deliver meaningful business outcomes in the next 12-18 months.
Moreover, 44% of respondents trust AI agents to perform their jobs effectively like humans, while 40% believe they can do a job more than adequate compared to humans.
Deployment and investment
This growing trust and confidence in AI agents has led to a significant 79% of respondents focusing on implementing and deploying them in the coming year, indicating a strong momentum in the industry.
ITDMs in Australia will likely invest more in AI agents in the coming year than in other markets studied.
“Australian organisations are set to spend an average of $3,151,667, compared to an average spend of $2,566,000 in German organisations, $2,508,571 in US organisations and $2,270,000 in UK organisations,” the report found.
Key barriers
Despite enthusiasm for AI agents, significant barriers remain, with data security (33%), employee skills (29%), and fear of data (27%) topping the list.
3GEM conducted this research on behalf of SnapLogic. It surveyed 1,000 IT Decision-Makers working in organisations with 250+ employees across the US, UK, Germany, and Australia.
