SUS ENVIRONMENT, a provider of comprehensive Environmental services, has released its "2024 SUS ENVIRONMENT Sustainability Report," highlighting its efforts in Environmental protection, product liability, corporate governance, equity and inclusion, and community engagement.
From waste to wonder
The report proudly showcases its substantial investment in 89 WtE projects (low-carbon eco-industrial parks), which are set to manage a staggering 120,000 tonnes of domestic waste per day by December 2024.
The company also reported achieving 316 authorised patents and releasing 34 national and industry standards in 2024.
In 2024, the company's innovative Municipal Solid Waste Incinerator Grate Ventures Standard was awarded the prestigious "Shanghai Standard." Furthermore, its Wuxi equipment manufacturing plant achieved zero product complaints and returns, with a first-pass qualification rate exceeding 98%. By the end of 2024, 18 waste-to-energy projects were rated as National AAA-Level Plants.
Employee and community engagement
The company's commitment to its 3,576 employees is evident in the various engagement activities organised by the end of 2024. The company also logged a total of 161,893 hours in employee training, with a remarkable 95% average trainee satisfaction rate.
A total of 438 employees participated in volunteer activities, accumulating 2,305 hours of service. SUS Environment has also launched a series of public welfare campaigns under the brand theme "City with Love, City without Waste", promoted industry-academia-research integration to improve industry and organised community co-development, and environmental activities.
SUS Environment reported achieving an audit coverage rate exceeding 90% and conducted 18 compliance training sessions for over 3000 participants cumulatively, both online and offline.
Sustainability Honors
The company was honoured with the China Corporate Social Responsibility Ranking 2025 - Ecological and Environmental Contribution Award, recognised as one of the Outstanding ESG Practising Enterprises in the Waste-to-Energy Industry (2024), and acknowledged for its Green Finance Green Energy Development Case.
