Workday, Inc. has unveiled Sana from Workday, a superintelligence for work, designed to bring AI into the core business systems and processes.

“AI only works in the enterprise when it’s connected to trusted, deterministic systems, and that hybrid architecture is exactly what Workday is building,” said Aneel Bhusri, co-founder, CEO and chair, Workday. “Sana is what brings it all together. It’s not just a new Workday experience—it’s a powerful way for people to search, reason, and orchestrate work across the enterprise.”
Superintelligence for work
Workday’s new AI offerings include Sana from Workday, an advanced AI interface designed to empower HR and finance managers by streamlining workflows and enhancing decision-making; Sana Self-Service Agent, which automates a broad range of HR and finance tasks; and Sana Enterprise, which extends Sana’s AI capabilities beyond Workday.
- Sana from Workday orchestrates AI agents that seamlessly integrate with existing systems, providing instant, cited answers from company knowledge and Workday data, grounded in enterprise permissions; it transforms knowledge into actionable dashboards, summaries, and documents; and enables no-code, multi‑step workflows.
- Sana Self‑Service Agent can instantly find and summarise information from Workday and other knowledge sources, so employees get clear, personalised answers to their questions right away.
- Sana Enterprise extends the Sana experience beyond Workday into the rest of the enterprise, with connectors to platforms such as Salesforce, SharePoint, and Slack, enabling seamless integration with existing systems.

“Workday’s integration with Sana is a major milestone in the market, giving HR and business users a highly intelligent, AI-native experience to automate work, solve problems, and build agentic solutions,” said Josh Bersin, global industry analyst and CEO of The Josh Bersin Company.
