Alibaba Cloud commemorated its decade of operations in Singapore and the 10th anniversary of establishing its international headquarters in the country with new infrastructure investments, a new AI Competency Centre, and advanced cloud and AI technologies.

AI Global Competency Centre
During the Global Summit held in Singapore, Alibaba Cloud unveiled its first AI Global Competency Centre (AIGCC) in the country, aiming to accelerate AI adoption by supporting enterprises of all sizes while addressing the growing global demand for AI talent.
It aims to provide access to advanced AI models and powerful computing resources to accelerate experimentation and deployment, while bringing together over 1,000 companies and startups to co-develop next-generation AI solutions.
Alibaba Cloud will partner with over 120 universities and institutions globally to train 100,000 AI professionals annually.
Global AI development
Alibaba Cloud introduces a range of new offerings, including upgrades to its Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) products, and the launch of new AI tools such as the 'One Channel For AI' capability, designed to streamline multimodal data preparation. Additionally, enhancements to Alibaba Cloud's Platform for AI (PAI) further bolster the company's AI capabilities.
Alibaba Cloud also announced the availability of its 9th Generation Intel-based Enterprise Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance across additional global markets from July, including Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, the United Arab Emirates, Germany and the UK.
