Merchant payment and digitisation services provider Antom unveils upgrades to Antom Copilot, its AI agent designed to address common merchant pain points, including payment delays, dispute resolution, and operational inefficiencies.

"Managing payments doesn't have to be a passive and low ROI process of solving problems for merchants," said Gary Liu, CEO of Antom, which is under Ant International. "Today, our goal is to put advanced AI efficiency tools at the fingertips of every merchant in daily operations at a lower cost, turning what large enterprises achieve through dedicated teams into accessible tools for all."
Antom Copilot upgrades
Integrated into the Antom Merchant Portal, Antom Copilot now offers enhanced automation and tailored assistance, all built on secure, compliant frameworks to ensure data privacy and regulatory adherence while handling payment complexity.
Main features include:
- Agentic support for the entire payment lifecycle, from onboarding and integration, to dispute handling, risk control and payment success rate operation;
- Domain-trained intelligence functions to shorten processing time and lower costs.
- Better resolution performance in real, multi-step operational scenarios, supported by improved multi-turn dialogue and memory capabilities;
- Closer monitoring of operational signals enables the pre-emptive capture of risks and opportunities.
Antom Copilot runs on an upgraded agentic retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architecture with standard operating procedures (SOP) planning. Seventy-two per cent of Antom merchants have completed self-service integration with Antom Copilot within one year of its launch in 2024. Some benefits include reducing merchant payment integration time by 90% and improving dispute-handling efficiency by 46%.
