Over 400 key players and industry experts from the Asia Pacific region gathered at the Huawei Cloud APAC Partner Summit 2025 on May 9 in Phuket, Thailand, signalling growing momentum behind cloud-powered digital transformation efforts across Asia Pacific.
The regional summit featured keynotes, product showcases, and breakout sessions focused on cloud innovations and digital transformation, which drive significant investments in cloud infrastructure and services.
Additionally, the summit examined the deployment of cloud and AI in various industries across the region. During the event, Jacquiline Shi, president of Huawei Cloud Global Marketing and Sales Service seeks to maximise AI opportunities in the Asian market. She hopes that APAC will become a top market in AI, leading the digital journey and sharing its expertise from Asia to the world.

“AI is the most important opportunity for the next decade, so all application providers and key companies, I hope everybody can work together in the AI era,” she said.
Cloud adoption

Cloud adoption across the Asia Pacific continues to accelerate. IDC predicts worldwide spending on cloud services will double by 2028 from the expected global expenditure of $805 billion in 2024, with a five-year CAGR of 19.4%.
In APAC (excluding Japan and China), the public cloud services market was expected to reach $50.8 billion in 2024, with a 22.4% YoY growth. IDC predicts it will more than double to US$103.0 billion by 2028, with a five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 19.9%.
IDC also projected that 50% of enterprises in APAC will form strategic ties with cloud providers for generative AI platforms, developer tools, and infrastructure by 2025.
