Ericsson has advanced its enterprise 5G networking capabilities with the integration of agentic AI into its NetCloud platform and the launch of the industry’s first enterprise 5G agentic AI virtual expert, which will transform how businesses deploy, optimise, and manage their 5G networks.
Agentic AI integration
The integration of agentic AI into ANA (AI-based NetCloud Assistant) enables it to handle complex workflows, execute administrative decisions, and learn in real-time.
Key AI features include an agentic organisational hierarchy, a structure where AI agents can act autonomously within their designated roles, with multiple orchestrators and functional AI agents. These agents are capable of planning and executing tasks under the direction of administrators, such as network deployment and optimisation.
The solution also includes multi-modal content generation to produce graphs for the visual representation of trends and complex query results. ANA now also provides real-time process feedback, displaying the steps taken by AI agents.

Pankaj Malhotra, head of WWAN & Security, Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions, says: “By introducing agentic AI into NetCloud, we’re enabling enterprises to simplify deployment and operations while also improving reliability, performance, and user experience.”
Building on AI foundations
By the fourth quarter of the year, the integration of Ericsson Private 5G into the NetCloud platform aims to provide enterprises with access to AI features. It also targets to offer real-time feature availability, simplified lifecycle management, greater agility across multisite deployments and better administrator controls with distinct user roles and permissions.

Manish Tiwari, head of Enterprise 5G, Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions, adds: “By building on powerful AI foundations, seamless lifecycle management, and the ability to scale securely across sites, we are providing flexibility to further accelerate digital transformation across industries.”
