Oracle has expanded its multi-year cloud and artificial intelligence partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing, strengthening its role in powering next-generation data-driven performance ahead of sweeping 2026 Formula 1 regulation changes.

Laurent Mekies, CEO and Team Principal, said: “We rely on Oracle's invaluable expertise to help us understand and optimise countless variables with greater precision and speed than the competition.”

The renewed agreement places Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle AI at the centre of Red Bull’s next phase of performance development, including the debut of Red Bull Ford Powertrains’ next-generation hybrid power unit.
Mekies commented: “With Oracle Cloud and Oracle AI, we can adapt quickly, make smarter decisions, and sustain the level of performance required to win Championships, and we look forward to continued success in this multi-year partnership."
Red Bull is relying on OCI’s high-performance computing and large-scale simulation capabilities to design, test, and refine its new engine. Built from the ground up in just four years, the hybrid power unit marks a major milestone for Red Bull Ford Powertrains as it competes against long-established manufacturers.
A key innovation launching this season is an AI-powered strategy agent developed with Oracle’s AI stack. Designed to work alongside race engineers, the system will automate data collection, analyse real-time and historical race inputs, and deliver insights to help teams respond faster to changing track conditions.
Beyond performance on the track, Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications will support Red Bull’s finance, human resources, and marketing operations. The Team aims to improve planning, streamline payroll, and enhance fan engagement through personalised digital experiences and loyalty programs.

Clay Magouyrk, CEO, Oracle, said: “The same technologies the Team uses to model strategy, refine its hybrid power unit, and deploy the latest AI innovations trackside are the ones powering transformation for companies across every industry. Whether on the track or in the enterprise, Oracle Cloud and Oracle AI deliver the speed and intelligence needed to win.”
The 2026 Formula 1 season begins in Melbourne on March 5, 2026.
