AI-ready data
A bidirectional integration between Confluent's Tableflow with Delta Lake and Databricks'Databricks' Unity Catalog, a unified and open governance solution for data and AI, aims to provide consistent, real-time data across operational and analytical systems that are discoverable, secure, and trustworthy.
Tableflow with Delta Lake makes operational data available immediately to Delta Lake's ecosystem, allowing customers to bring their data to any engine or AI tool in Unity Catalog.
Custom integrations also allow the automatic application of metadata to data exchanged between platforms, making operational data discoverable and actionable. They also ensure the access of analytical data in Confluent.
Confluent's Stream Governance also claims to provide upstream governance and metadata to enhance governance, end-to-end stream lineage, and automated data quality monitoring in Unity Catalog.
The new capabilities enable faster, smarter AI-driven decision-making across the organisation. They also allow seamless integration between enterprise applications and analytics and AI innovation at scale.
