Google has announced that it is bringing the latest generative AI (gen AI) capabilities to Google Workspace Business and Enterprise plans. These affordable capabilities aim to transform business workflows, making advanced AI tools accessible to businesses of all sizes.

"As we embrace an era of work powered by AI, the opportunities emerging for our customers and our mission to help them thrive have only accelerated," said Jerry Dischler, president of Cloud Applications at Google.
AI capabilities
Google Workspace Business and Enterprises users can easily access AI assistance with Gemini in tools such as Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Meet, Chat, Vids, and more. The user-friendly AI assistant can help craft emails, assist with writing, locate needed information, automate tasks like meeting notes, and provide real-time insights, simplifying complex tasks.
Moreover, users can chat with Gemini Advanced for complex projects such as coding, research, and data analysis. They can also build Gems, a team of AI experts to help with repeatable or specialised tasks.
AI capabilities include NotebookLM Plus, an AI research assistant that can share insights and podcast-like Audio Overviews. It also claims to accelerate their learning and onboarding.
Data security
Google assures users of its commitment to keeping data safe by not selling it or using it for ad targeting, automatically applying existing Google Workspace data security and sovereignty controls, retrieving only relevant data with user permissions, and adhering to safety, privacy, and security certifications, including SOC 1/2/3, ISO 27001/17/18, and ISO 42001.
